Chelsea and Arsenal get clear £78m message from Juventus as agent's meeting emerges

Juventus have no intention of letting go of their star player Kenan Yildiz, despite interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea. Yildiz has been in scintillating form this season, having shone at the Club World Cup.

The Turkish international has already netted twice and set up four goals in just eight games across all competitions. The 20-year-old sensation joined Juventus after parting ways with Bayern Munich in 2022 and has since become one of the hottest young talents in world football.

With a tally of 18 goals and 15 assists in 92 appearances for Juve, it's clear why Yildiz is attracting attention, especially considering he's already earned 23 caps for his country.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keen on Yildiz, with super agent Jorge Mendes recently meeting with the player's family to discuss potential future moves.

Rumours suggest that bids ranging from £69million to £78m could be tabled for the German-born prodigy, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also said to be interested.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus' top brass, led by Damien Comolli, have no plans to let Yildiz slip through their fingers to any Premier League suitors.

They're determined to retain the services of the player, who still has four years remaining on his contract.

Despite bolstering their attack with the summer arrivals of Jonathan David and Lois Openda, Comolli is focused on retaining their other key players, including Yildiz.

TBR Football revealed that Juve are working towards offering Yildiz a fresh deal with hopes he'll pledge his long-term future to demonstrate he won't be available for transfer in the near future.

Yildiz can play across various attacking positions but has predominantly featured as a No. 10 this campaign. Nevertheless, he was deployed on the left flank during Juventus' goalless stalemate with AC Milan on Sunday.

Discussing Yildiz last month, Juve boss Igor Tudor remarked: "I was talking to them the other day and I noticed that I never say anything to Yildiz in front of others, because he always does what he's supposed to do.

"We rarely say anything to him, whether it's about his playing style or his behaviour. The difference is that inner motivation you have to get there and do what you do, which has to be there every day. Yildiz is proving he does that, and I hope he continues every day. He has all the attributes to become a truly top player."

Yildiz will be back in action when Turkey take on Bulgaria in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday. They then welcome Georgia in another pivotal encounter three days later.
